Margin requirement is the minimum amount you need as margin to open a new position. This is determined by the minimum Initial Margin (IM) figure for the market you wish to trade. You multiply the minimum IM by your unit stake to calculate your minimum margin requirement.
From 20th April, these requirements will be amended across Capital Spreads top traded markets. You can see our full list of amended margin requirements below.
As minimum IMR values are decreasing, please be aware that you will have increased margin available for trading.
